MakeShake Privacy Policy

This page explains what data MakeShake collects, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept and how to delete it. ZYYN is responsible for your data; for any question about it, write to abc@makeshake.app.

What stays on your phone

Projects, the library, finished videos and settings are stored on your device and never reach us unless you send a file to generation, captions or support. The editor works without an account.

Account

• With Google sign-in we receive your Google ID, name and email address. Your Google password is never shared with us.
• With email sign-in we store your address and your password only in hashed form. Verification codes are sent by an email delivery service, which receives the address and the message text.

Coins and purchases

We store your balance and the history of top-ups and charges. Purchases go through Google Play: card details are handled by Google and never reach us. To verify a purchase we receive its details from Google (product, state, purchase ID).

AI generation

To run a generation we send the AI generation provider your prompt, settings and the files you chose in the form. A link to an uploaded file is valid for about a day. We keep the generation history (model, settings, status, cost, result links) while the account exists, to show results and handle refunds fairly.

Your name and email are not shared with the generation provider.

Captions and translation

For automatic captions, the clip's audio is sent to our speech recognition server and deleted right after processing — on success and on error. To count the daily limit the server keeps an anonymous device number. Caption text you translate is sent to a machine translation service.

Support chat

We keep your messages and attached screenshots while the account exists. Screenshots are downscaled and location and other metadata are removed before storage.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, we keep a device token for delivery (encrypted) and your language. Notifications are delivered by Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging). They contain no prompts, files or amounts — the app fetches details itself after sign-in.

What we do not do

There are no ads or advertising analytics in the app. We do not sell data or share it with advertisers.

Who we share data with

• The AI generation provider and models — prompt, settings and selected files.
• A machine translation service — caption text, if you translate it.
• Google — for Google sign-in, purchase verification and notification delivery.
• An email delivery service — address and text of service emails.
• Authorities — when required by law.

Providers may process data outside your country.

How we protect data

• The app and server talk only over encrypted connections.
• Passwords and notification tokens are not stored in plain form.
• Only people who need it to run the service and support have access to data.

Retention and deletion

We keep account data while the account exists. Delete the account in the app (Profile → Account → Delete account) — immediately, or by email to abc@makeshake.app — within 30 days. What is deleted and what remains is described at https://makeshake.app/delete-account.

Server backups are overwritten over time.

Children

You can create an account from age 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; if we learn of such an account, we will delete it.

Your rights

• Find out what data we hold about you and get a copy.
• Correct or delete data, delete the account.
• Object to or restrict processing.
• Withdraw permissions (notifications, file access) in your phone settings.

If you are in the European Union you have rights under the GDPR; in California — under the CCPA. To use them, write to abc@makeshake.app; we reply within 30 days.

Changes

The version is shown at the top. The current version is in the app (Profile → Help) and at https://makeshake.app/privacy. We will announce significant changes in the app.
